STAND UP - See the Assets, Not Deficits - Uniting People
The third in a series of community organising forums was held on June 12th 2009 at the Sirius Building in Millers Pt. The STAND-UP forum was part of the Communities in Harmony project.
The event was brilliantly facilitated by Dominic Grenot, the City of Sydney Public Housing Liaison Officer and the day began with an introduction from Communities in Harmony patron, Robyn Kemmis.
The interesting outcome of the forum was despite all the uncertainity residence in the Millers Pt area face with the selling off of public stock and closures of boarding housing, the main topic of focus was how to care for others in the community, how to reach out and connect with socially excluded people.
